Welcome to the Kehelland Community Hub
Our community hub is at the heart of Kehelland. Whether you’re looking to host a meeting, run a class, or celebrate a special occasion, we have flexible spaces to suit your needs. As a not-for-profit organisation, we’re dedicated to keeping our historic chapel in active use by the community and creating a welcoming place for everyone.
Our Story
Originally the village chapel, the Kehelland Community Hub has been serving the local community since 1830 when the original Chapel was built. In 1891 the new (and current) Chapel was built.
The site has undergone creative renovation: most recently in 2000 when the two buildings were joined to create a versatile complex, and the heating has recently been upgraded. We’ve removed pews to provide an adaptable performance space while keeping heritage features like the pipe organ and pulpit. We still hold seasonal worship and special services such as Midsummer, Harvest and Christmas, and rites of passage (christenings, weddings and funerals) can be arranged in cooperation with the Methodist Church.
In February 2026, Kehelland CIC secured a lease from the Methodist Circuit to ensure this beloved building remains open and vibrant. Our mission is to preserve the chapel as a hub for community activities, provide affordable space for hire, and combat rural isolation by offering a diverse range of events and groups.
